Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research
During 2011, Let's Get Healthy continued out support of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research with our running team finishing the Great North Run raising over £2,000 in sponsorship .Maria and James grabbed their collection buckets and attended the expo on the Saturday the day before the race and collected all day whilst the stars of Emmerdaleenterained visitors at the pasta party.
The charity has lots of fun ideas to help you fundraise and get your employees active. They can put the whole package together for you, including the marketing and PR. Beating Bowel Cancer
Let's Get Healthy is delighted to announce our support of this wonderful charity and will be supporting them by arranging free seminars to raise awareness .1 in 18 people across the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer in their lifetime. This equates to 1.5 million working days and £145 million being lost by organisations each year.
The initiative Health in the Workplace, is offered nationally to organisations in an attempt to raise awareness of symptoms and risk factors associated with bowel cancer. Offering short 30 minute talks by trained volunteers who have all become involved with the charity through personal connections with bowel cancer – either as a patient or relative of a patient. The seminars are geared towards simply raising awareness of keys signs and symptoms so that people can seek early medical intervention if they recognise any in themselves.
